How We Got Started

Coffee is a part of most people's lives.  Just look at how many large and small coffee shops there are...  Our experience in coffee began years ago, when we found a delightful little coffee shop called "Lady and the Mug".  We sat down, ordered a couple cappuccinos, and waited.

The coffees arrived, and we sipped.  My goodness, the richness of the coffee, velvety cream on the top, and the warm ceramic of the mug all came together in a beautiful way.  The experience of drinking that cappuccino is seared into my mind, as a happy and warm feeling that started the coffee journey.

 

Exploring Small Coffee Shops

Soon we began exploring all of the local coffee shops around.  Each one was unique and cozy, offering delicious coffee with friendly staff that made the whole experience so inviting.  We didn't go get coffee just to get the caffeine fix we so desperately needed.  No, we went for the experience.  Just to sit down with a loved one and share a cup, and enjoy together.

The serenity and the atmosphere at each shop made us feel relaxed, like an oasis from the chaos of the world.  As you can tell, the feeling of drinking coffee became almost as important as the coffee itself, if not more so!

 

Sharing the Warmth with Loved Ones

As our love for coffee grew, we couldn't help but share it with our family and friends.  We love to host people at our home and bring out the Breville Bambino espresso machine, brewing special blends for gatherings, and introducing our loved ones to homemade cappuccinos and lattes.  The joy of seeing their faces light up with each sip was priceless.  There's nothing quite like the feeling of coffee, friends, and family all together.

 

So Why the Coffee Mugs?

You see, the vessel that holds the coffee is the part that you touch and interact with most.  Yes, the simple and modest coffee mug is the chalice for which all truth springs forth... the truth of a delicious cup of coffee.  And I'm sure you've had a hotel coffee spewed into a paper cup, or an espresso lovingly poured into a cappuccino cup after a late night Italian dinner, and all matters of coffees in between.

The simple coffee mug is a brilliant design of holding the hot delicious coffee safely from our hands, while being comfortable to hold, yet easy to clean and as simply elegant as the Campbells soup can that we all know so well.  It's a design triumph.

And so the coffee mug is a vital part of the coffee experience.  Withdrawing it from the cabinet, preparing the coffee, and sipping from the mug puts coffee enthusiasts in a wonderful state of joy.  This is precisely why we want to create the most special coffee mugs for you to experience this same joy.

 

Inspiration to Create Something Special

It was this shared warmth and joy that inspired us to create something special.  We wanted to spread the love for coffee beyond our inner circle, to share that same warm feeling with others.  And that's how the idea for our store selling beautiful coffee mugs was born.

Each coffee mug in our store reflects a feeling.  Those feelings are something intangible and immeasurable but we all know them, such as the coziness of a cappuccino, the energy of an espresso, or the laissez fair of a latte.
